Take a trip with me to the 60s! – Interior photo shoot in a different way

Anyone who follows me knows that I live in the past, I wear vintage clothes, I love evoking old things and I love costumes in general. Since I try to design each apartment with a slightly different atmosphere and character – it’s my self-expression, my fun at work – I thought I should do a series of photos where we bring life to the apartments. I imagine this by getting into the character of a woman who matches the mood and target group of the apartment and showing the interior through her life with mood photos.

I told my idea to my makeup-photographer friend Nóri Dénes, who is a big fan of cosplay herself and was totally into it. And, of course, who else could be the photographer than Orsi Milesz-Nagy, my documentary photographer, who has already taken great reportage photos of me and my work.

We did our first series in the apartment I inherited from my grandparents in 2006, which I’ve left almost untouched ever since. This is how I rented it out to tourists for 14 years and now to long-term tenants. You can check the preparation in ‘references’.

The intense planning was well under way. Nóri was sending makeup and hairstyle designs. And Orsi was sending ideas for interior accessories, which would reflect the retro atmosphere of the 60s and 70s:
– We need an old coffee brewer, an old glass coffee cup, a pen broom, an old telephone … – said Orsi, who had already imagined the pictures she wanted to bring back to life.
I looked around at my other grandmother’s, my mother-in-law’s, my mum’s and I was already done stocking up on vintage accessories. Let’ the photo shoot begin!

All three of us really enjoyed the work! We hope you like it too. This is what my grandmother’s life was like in the 1960s. She was the same age as I am now, so this series should also be a tribute to her. Have a look at it!
